Whether you are giving a gift to celebrate a couple’s new last name, the birth of a new baby, or a special anniversary, a Framed Legacy is the perfect personalized gift! It is easy to find a place for this keepsake in any home, as they look great over a doorway, window, fireplace, or even above the bed. You can even create a unique family photo wall-collage including your Framed Legacy. If you have a narrow blank wall hang yours vertical! In order to better plan where to display your new work of art, sizes are as follows (All sizing is approximate):
Some tips from our design artist: If you are giving a Framed Legacy as a gift and have never seen the recipient’s home, or the gift is for a new home or baby and they have not yet decided on wall colors, a gift card is a great alternative. With a gift card they can choose colors and photos that match their home and blend with a style they decide on. When choosing your matte color try to base the decision on the contrast in your desired photos or vice-versa. For example: If you want a white matte choose photos that have a darker background. If you want a black matte choose photos that have a lighter background. Not only will this make it easier to read, it also provides the highest amount of contrast and makes your Framed Legacy really stand out with maximum impact. With red or tan matte you can go either way with background contrast but do try and alternate between light and dark photos. This will keep your piece feeling balanced. If one side is darker and the other is lighter you will find yourself tilting your head in an effort to balance it out on the wall because the dark side seems heavier. This design rule goes for all matte colors. If you find yourself drawn to the really abstract photo letters, my suggestion is to begin your Framed Legacy with a more obvious, easy to read letter. This way when people look at your keepsake they automatically start reading and when they get to the more abstract photos they are already looking for letters. When spelling a name with double letters some people ask if they should use the same photo for both letters…like in Miller. Of course it is all a matter of taste… but I say different is better! It provides more visual interest when trying to figure out which letter each photo displays. Some of the photo letters are very similar because they were taken in the same place. Watch out for placing these next to each other in your frame. A contrast in style and form is more fun to look at. Are you are having trouble deciding on a color combination? Some our most popular combinations are:
In order to protect the life and quality of each photograph, Letter Your Legacy uses neutral PH matte board. To reduce the glare that comes from direct lighting, the photos are printed with a matte finish so that every detail can be easily seen. Specific attention to detail, and exceptional photography ensure the quality that you desire in a work of art. It is our desire for you to completely satisified with your purchase!
