    Signature Boards with Letter Art

    Monday, July 19th, 2010

    Hey Everyone-

I hope you enjoyed your weekend!  We had a great time at the An Affair of the Heart show in Tulsa, Oklahoma this last weekend.

Anyway, I realized that I haven’t blogged about our Signature Boards (featured on Letter Keepsakes) for a while, and if you are just visiting my blogs for the first time, you might not know what I’m talking about!  First of all, we sell our Signature Boards on Letter Keepsakes and they are available in any of our Premium Frames (Premium Barnwood, Premium Tuscan, Premium Etched Bronze and Premium Black). All of our Premium Frames are roughly 4″ wide.  Here’s an example of a Signature Board if you don’t know what I’m talking about:

    Signature Board “Simpson”

This is an example of one that could be set up at  a wedding or an anniversary party.  On the Signature Boards you get to pick out the letter art from our website and then we ship it to you and you put in your own 5×7 vertical photo.  Our Signature Boards are easy to open and close back up.  In fact, use plexiglass instead of breakable glass so that we don’t risk the glass breaking when it’s shipped or when you open it.

So how much room is there on our Signature Board for your event guests to sign?  The matte itself is 19 1/2″ x 32″, so that leaves plenty of room for lots of guests! If you have an event with hundreds of guests, just names are the way to go.  However, if your event is more like a small party with 30 guests or so, have everyone write a note! WE send a sharpie with your order, but I recommend getting a fine point sharpie for more than 300 guests.

The letter art photos from Letter Keepsakes are available in sepia or black and white.  Think about what picture you want to put in the opening before you decide on the letter art color!

More information on Signature Boards next week!

    Letter Art for Spring

    Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

    Hey Letter Your Legacy Shoppers-

Are you as ready for spring as I am? I’m sure some of you live in warmer states where it’s already in the 70’s…so jealous! I’m wondering if some of you out there, like me, have already started your spring cleaning.  Nothing feels better than cleaning out the fridge, the garage and especially getting rid of clutter!  You might even be getting some of your old household decor items off the wall and shelves and getting them ready for a garage sale in a couple months.  Why wouldn’t you want to take down the same artwork you’ve had on the wall since 1995??

The GREATEST thing about spring cleaning is making room for new purchases for the home! Letter art from Letter Your Legacy is the perfect thing to give your home a refreshed and updated feel.  The easy thing about our letter art is that the frames can really go anywhere in your home.  You might want to place your letter art design on the mantel, or maybe above a doorway or in a cluster of family pictures.

Letter art also makes a great gift for someone in the spring as well! I’m sure you have friends or family with a spring birthday, wedding or anniversary.  Why not show them how much you care by giving them a letter art design from Letter Your Legacy?

Here’s an example if you have never seen our letter art before:

This frame features a black frame with a black matte.  This is one of our most popular frame/matte combinations with our black and white letter art.  Letter art from Letter Your Legacy looks great with any of our frame/matte combinations! Don’t forget- your letter art order is shipped the Monday after it is ordered!

How else are you supposed to get all of your shopping done in one day and have great savings?

Well, I won’t be so lucky to avoid the malls this year on Black Friday, but you still can!  I’m going to be running a kiosk at Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City selling our letter art this November and December.  Stop by if you are in the central Oklahoma area! Letter Art Design Tips

    Monday, October 19th, 2009

    Hi Everybody,

Hope you are all having a great day.  I’m sure that many of you have already thought of someone that you want to purchase a name picture for this upcoming holiday season.  Don’t forget, the more you order the more you save on shipping! Letter Your Legacy is online shopping at its easiest!  We’ll get it to you quickly and I know you will be pleased with the design you have chosen.

There may be some of you out there who have never actually desgined a name picture before on Letter Your Legacy.  Not to worry!  I’ve got some great design tips (that I picked up from our photographer and designer) to share with you.

    Design Tip #1:

Choose an obvious letter picture for the first letter in the name picture. (For example, the “E” in “Evans”) Make it something that is easy to read so that when people see your name picture, they realize that they are reading a name or word.  I’ve provided some examples below.

    Letter Art "E"

    Letter Art "E"

    Letter Art "E"

    Letter Art "E"

Most people are going to see the bottom “E” more quickly than the first one.  However, some people do have a more abstract eye and will enjoy the harder to read letter art.

    Design Tip #2:

Not sure if you want to display your name picture horizontal or vertical? That’s fine, they look fantastic either way! If you are buying a name picture for yourself, think about where you want something new to hang on a wall in your home. For example, maybe you have a skinny wall with no wall hangings on it yet. A vertical frame will look great here!  Or maybe you want to put something over a bleak doorway.  A horizontal frame will be a perfect fit.

Unfortunately when you are buying for someone else, you just don’t know where they are going to put their new name picture (that they love so much).  If they have a very long name (9 or 10 letters), we suggest putting it vertically because they might have an easier time finding a spot for it.  Walls are always tall, but not always wide. Otherwise, I would generally say it is safe to go with horizontal when you choose to purchase nme pictures as a gift. Either way, it’s going to look great in their home!

New Letter Art Coming November 2009

    Monday, September 28th, 2009

    Hey Everybody,

I hope you all had a great weekend! I just wanted to fill you all in on what’s going down here at Letter Your Legacy.  People often ask for new letter art, and we have delivered! This summer, in June, our family went on an awesome trip to Israel. This was such a great experience and the country was so gorgeous and had so much history and character that we decided to take and entire collection of letter art here.  We ended up with multiple letters for the entire alphabet.

A country full of so many ancient ruins gave us an opportunity to take letter art pictures like we never had before.  This trip was such a blast and we ended up with an entire group of about 25 looking for letter art all over Israel!

Well, I couldn’t tell you all about the new letter art and not give you a sneak peek, right? Here are just a few of the awesome letter photos we were able to capture in Israel.

    Letter Art "E"

    Letter Art "E"

This example of letter art is a lower case “E”.  This is just a strand of rope draped into the shape of an “E”.  A simple letter photo, but I feel like it will be one of our more popular letters because it is creative and abstract, but at the same time it is very clearly an “E”.

    Letter Art "T"

    Letter Art "T"

This letter art image was taken to be a lower case “T”.  Stacy took this shot on our super cool boat that we rode across the Sea of Galilee.  It was such a beautiful day and a smooth ride.  This was absolutely one of my favorite days in Israel.

Want to know more about the Israel trip and more letter art coming November 2009? You’ll have to check out our website! Use this link to find out more about the Israel collection: New Israel Letter Art
